No-shows put the CANTER program at risk!
Make sure you have an appointment to view a horse, and double check the availability before your track visit. If you cannot make your appointment for any reason, PLEASE call the trainer. It only takes a minute, and helps the horses by extending courtesy to trainers/owners willing to work with CANTER.  Keep in mind you are visiting a workplace. Time is taken out of their work day to show you horses, so honesty is paramount. Be up front with trainers/owners about your interest in their horse.

CANTER does NOT guarantee the condition of any horse at any time. As with ANY equine acquisition, we urge you to have a veterinarian perform an exam before you buy a horse.  Exercise caution when considering any horse listed. The representations and descriptions in the Horse Listing section are provided to us by the owner, trainer, or breeder listing the horse. We have NOT verified all claims therein. Special Needs Horses

Horses highlighted in pink are available at a reduced price due to one or more of the following reasons: Injury, Special needs, Sound, but are "at risk" and need to be moved out of the barn right away.

Horses highlighted in yellow are available at a reduced price for whatever reason. Not considered "at risk".

Viewing Horse Listings

To view additional pictures or video for a listing, click the title (horse name), the thumbnail, or Read More at the bottom of the listing.

If you find that a horse is sold, or more importantly that a number is incorrect on a listing, please notify the CANTER affiliate the horse is listed under: California, Gulf South, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Mid Atlantic, New England, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.

The use of CANTER photos is strictly prohibited. Under NO circumstances may photos posted on this website be used for any other purpose off this site or by any individuals, groups, or entities for any reason.
