SOLD-Repentant Spirit is an adorable 2007 model. He is a dark bay gelding with a heart shaped blaze and is almost 16 hands. Spirit last raced in December 2011 and had a minor injury while racing. He has a right front hairline fracture in his cannon bone. The vets prognosis is very good. He needs 30 days of stall rest then light turn out for 3-4 months and then he should be 100%. The vet said after that time frame he could continue his racing career but his trainer would rather he retire and find a new career. Spirit is a super sweet horse which is evident when we took him out of his stall for his photo shoot and video. He is very calm and has no vices. Spirit does have some trust issues and he really wants to please. Spirit is not aggressive at all but can be a bit touchy when groomed. He needs a handler who can give him lots of one on one time and a person he can really bond with. His trainer says he is a horse that gives 100% every time and that he has a great demeanor and personality. He trailers great, stands well for the farrier and responds well to command.  Spirit would do well as a dressage, show or possible low level hunter/jumper prospect. Spirit is located at Turfway Park and looking for a very special forever home. Please consider giving this sweet boy a new home for the holidays!
