SOLD-Max is a 16.1 hand part quarter horse part thoroughbred chestnut gelding. Max is 25 years old and has been used as an exercise/track pony at Churchill Downs. Max is about as bomb proof and broke as you can get. He is a super sweet gentle giant who has been there done that kind of horse. Max is 100% sound and is being retired because his trainer wants him to have some much deserved down time and just be a horse. He is gentle enough for a beginner or as a kids horse. Max would be an excellent candidate for lessons or 4H. Max is used to large crowds, lots of noise and a variety of horses and riders. He has no vices and is a very easy keeper. Max would make a great addition to any riding program or just to trail ride around your farm. He loves people, attention and peppermints. Please consider giving this awesome horse a great new home for the holidays! Max is located at Churchill Downs and needs a home offer ASAP as the track is closing on 12-31-11 and his trainer/owner is headed to AR.

UPDATE: CANTER KY and the KYHP worked together and found a great placement for Max. Max is going to be a member of the KYHP mounted patrol unit. We want to thank the KYHP for taking him in on very short notice and giving him a new"job". We wish him all the best in his new career:)
