Placed:Sweetsouthernheart
PLACED:Sweetsouthernheart is a charming and flashy 2007 chestnut mare. She is by Sweetsouthernsaint and out of Banbury’s heart and has a decent pedigree. Ruby, as she is known in the barn, is 16.2 hands and has a very nice, solid, athletic physique. She is being retired after only 9 starts and last raced in November 2011 at Churchill Downs. Ruby was given 90 days of rest due to a slightly inflamed right ankle. X-rays were taken and there is no damage or bone chips in her ankle and she is completely sound. X-rays are available for review to prospective buyers. The vet gave Ruby a very good diagnosis and her owner could continue racing her but has decided to transition her to a new career where she wont have to undergo the rigors of racing. Ruby is currently in training and loves to run. She has been jogging at the track, 2 miles daily, since the beginning of February. She is a competitive horse who likes to work and have a job to focus on. Ruby likes to give 100% of herself to any task that she is presented with. Her trainer says she is very sweet with a wonderful disposition and good mind. She is easy to work with, loves attention and has no vices. Ruby could easily transition to a new career with some additional schooling. She would make for a nice show horse or dressage prospect. Ruby could also possibly transition to an eventing career as she really enjoys going the distance and her ankle should not be an issue as she wont be running at race horse speed. She is not to be used as a hunter/jumper prospect. Please consider giving this lovely lady a new home and career. Ruby is located at Turfway Park and needs a new home ASAP!!
$1,250 negotiable to a good home!
