SOLD-Torinado is a beautiful 2005 bay mare. She stands 16.1 hands and is by Smolder In Heart and out of I Gotta Reality. She has a great pedigree with Mr.Prospector, Ack Ack, Native Dancer among other great race horses in her bloodlines. Tori is her nickname and she is a barn favorite because she's got class, charm and tons of potential. She was retired from racing in 2011 and is sound. Tori stands great for the farrier and has nice feet and tight legs ( the owners husband is a farrier and trainer so she behaves very well when having her feet trimmed). She trailers with no issues, cross ties, and is ready to show but has not competed. Her owner says that Tori is a very athletic horse that really likes to work and is competitive. She LOVES to jump and has wonderful movement and a nice big stride. Tori canters on both leads quietly, leg yields, flexes, bends (left better then right but that's typical for a race horse) but is ready to go. This horse thrives on attention from the ground and under saddle. Tori will be a sure hit in the show ring. Her owner says she needs a quiet rider with confidence. Tori's owner had nothing but great things to say about her and really loves this mare. She has been spending lots of time working with Tori on ground manners and some additional schooling. This mare is a gem. It's not often that we post CANTER horses that have had some retraining but this gal is ready to compete and will easily adjust to a new career.
