Discovered on the Northern California Trainer Listings!  Listed as the "Adorable 4yo Bay Gelding" - now called "Admiral!"

"Since I brought him home he has been named Admiral, mostly because such a marshmallow of a horse needs a strong name (I sometimes wonder if I bought a dog instead of a Thoroughbred!). Truly, he is one of the sweetest horses I have ever met. He may have lacked some gusto on the track, but he loves the barn life (and what little jumping we've dabbled in so far). Admiral is quite the cuddler AND cookie monster - he even gave a pony ride to my very non-horsey boyfriend. I am so looking forward to what this year holds for us, whatever that may be, and I can't imagine having been able to find a more perfect partner."

"More Secrets" couldn't be happier... nor could her family!  This beautiful gal has totally stolen her family's heart.  She looks absolutely stunning and loves living the good life.  She has proven to be a fabulous partner on the trails - brave & sure-footed!  Her family say she's a complete lady with a great mind!  We are thrilled she is in such a happy home!  Well done, Michelle!  

 "Classy" was discovered on the Northern California Trainer Listings at Golden Gate Fields.  Her racing owners/trainer chose to rehome her, as she wasn't competitive enough in her racing career! Though racing wasn't her thing - she sure seems to love her new calling!  "Classy" now lives in Arizona were she has become an Eventer.

 "Canter adoptee Rodolpho was a superstar this past weekend at the GSDHJA Championship Show at Del Mar. He was Champion in the Pre-Green Hunters. Only his 3rd show in hunter division!  He is so talented and loving. We are so proud I thought I would share his success with Canter."

Flight Marshall, who was found by his new owner on CANTER's trainer listings, now going Training Level in Eventing!

Uno was a very special horse when he came to CANTER Southern California in 2011. He had to have his left eye removed after his last race at Del Mar, we think from a whip from a jockey on his side. After fully recovering from his injury, Uno was more then ready for a new career! He has found a forever home with UC Davis Vet Student Margot, where he can live in a big pasture and gallop around cross country courses!

"We are having an easy winter after success at 2 schooling shows this fall including his first dressage score of 62%! Hoping to get him back in more work this spring and try some horse trials this summer. He loves to jump and gives me so much confidence over fences! Plus he is the class clown!"

Mr. President now named Argyle was adopted in October 09. His spent time at CANTER rehabbing from bilateral tibial stress fractures. He is now sound and living in Oregon with Mackenzie who plans to train him to be an eventer!

"He loves the leaves of alfalfa but not the stems, and he eats the hay but only the peices he deems worthy of his stomach. He does however inhale the the grain I have him on so that is good. He is so mellow I do all my blanket changes in his pen without a halter or anything. Yesterday I brought him into the indoor which as also the barn, two people were riding around and he just let me groom and mess with him. Did you know his sire's stud fee was $60,000?  Thanks again for the opportunity to own such a lovely horse."

Mac One, now "Illuminated" aka "Lilly."

"Lilly is a stunning 3 year old filly with floaty movement and a very kind disposition. She tries very hard to understand what I want from her, and has a soft, sweet nature. As she gains weight and condition, I will be training her as a hunter. I can already tell from working with her the past few days that she will be an absolute joy to train, and she already has many fans at our barn!" - Jenny

"Thanks for helping me find a new home for Siberian Pearl. I think this is a good success story. Siberian Pearl is going to Virginia. Lynn Thayer of Centreville, Virginia is the new owner. I'm really looking forward to seeing pictures of Siberian Pearl in his new discipline of Ladies Hunter Show. Siberian Pearl is a lucky horse thanks to Canter and Lynn. Siberian Pearl is an exceptional horse and I know he will give his all to please and learn the new discipline.
