Listing / Horse Status - Update us on a Listing: When taking our horse listings, we ask trainers/owners to call or email us in the event the horse is sold or needs to be removed from the website for whatever reason, but in most instances trainers/owners can't due to their hectic work schedules. Track Visit: CANTER MA tries to make regular monthly visits to the Charles Town Track, but sometimes, due to weather, personal reasons, etc., we are unable to, so if you have a horse you would like to list or need a CANTER MA volunteer to stop by your barn/farm, please e-mail or call Beth (301.922.7029). CANTER IDs vs. Jockey Club Names: CANTER MA has made the decision, for horses currently housed on the track, to assign and list them on our website using CANTER ID instead of Jockey Club names. This decision came at the request of track horse owners and trainers. However, horses located elsewhere may be listed by their Jockey Club names depending on the wishes of the trainer/owner listing the horse. To find out the Jockey Club name of a horse that interests you, please contact the person on the horse listing directly. *Horse Listing Eligibility Reminder* 1. Only trainers/owners actively racing/training at an affiliate track (Charles Town , Laurel, Bowie, Pimlico and Fair Hill Training center) can list horses. Listings from private individuals will not be accepted as the horse is now considered 'transitioned' and no longer qualifies for listing in the program. 2. Only horses transitioning directly from the racing industry, either directly from the track, breeding farm, or lay-up farm will be accepted. 3. Only horses that have been off the track for less than 1 year can be listed, unless they have been in rehabilitation from an injury or part of a breeding program. 4. Only horses that have been trained to race can be listed. They cannot have any other training. 5. We accept listing from owners and trainers at our affiliated Mid Atlantic tracks to include Charles town , Laurel, Bowie, Pimlico and Fair Hill Training center. Eligible horses must have raced or trained consistently at a Mid Atlantic track as classified by CANTER Mid Atlantic (Charles Town, Laurel, Bowie, Pimlico and Fair Hill Training center) and unraced horses must have trained in the Mid Atlantic area. 6. Horses can only be listed for $3999 or less. |

He had trouble standing for the photo, but only because it was extremely windy and he kept moving around.
