Affair in the Air - This lovely horse was rescued by our friends at Speak Up For Horses. He is now available for adoption. He is an awesome chestnut gelding, 16.2 hands, ten years old. Carefully rehabbed after a nasty fall in his last race August 2007. Fully recovered, sound, back under saddle and ready to start a new career. UPDATE! Capote's Flame - this 17h (!) 2002 gelding is dark brown--almost black--and lightly raced w/ only 10 starts. We were told he's sound but slow. We gelded Capote recently and gave him time to adjust to life off the track. He's doing great and is ready to be adopted. He has a nice personality--he's calm, sensible, and easy to handle. Trancus Genuine - It's time for this 2002 dark bay mare to go to work. Trancus
stands 15.2hh and she's athletic and sound for any discipline.
In fact, she's one of the soundest horses we have. After racing
only a year and a half, she was retired in July '06 because
she was not competitive. Since then she has been turned out
and has enjoyed being a horse. Okay, she's a little on the plump
side now. Who isn't? That's all the more reason for her to get
started on her new career! Seriously, Trancus is a terrific
sport horse prospect with good conformation--long coupled--and
a really nice disposition. She's social with other horses and
loads well. Her feet are good and she has been fine going unshod.
Excellent western prospect. She's obviously an easy keeper.

UPDATE! Canaletto - this 1996 English-bred ex-racer retired from a successful racing career last fall and his life at the track is now just a distant memory. He stands 15.2hh and is sound for flat work. He's a very cute mover. We've started to ride him recently and he is quiet under tack... well mannered and laid back. Could be a very nice young person's horse with retraining. Our foster mom's 8 year old son brings him in and goes into his stall to brush him. Canaletto enjoys being turned out in a group, and he is not aggressive at all. He cross-ties, clips, bathes, etc. Wears a cribbing strap. $500 or two horses for $800
