EQUINE EDUCATION CLINIC

CANTER Ohio's Equine Education Clinic will be Sat., Aug. 2, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Cherokee Stables (2000 Borror Road, Grove City OH 43123). The clinic focuses on prevention and provides practical information on what to do in an emergency. Our expert speakers will be available to answer your questions. SUMMER SALE ON CANTER HORSES

Effective immediately we are having a sale on CANTER horses to approved buyers. Select horses are on sale for $500 ea. or 2 horses for $800. ATTENTION!

No-shows for appointments to view horses put the CANTER program at risk!

No-shows hurt the credibility of the program with trainers/owners making them less likely to list horses with us. If something comes up, you change your mind, or you find another horse - PLEASE take a moment to call any trainers you made appointments with and cancel. It only takes a minute, and helps the horses by extending courtesy to trainers/owners willing to work with CANTER.

Keep in mind you are visiting a workplace. Time is taken out of their work day to show you horses, so honesty is paramount. Being up front with trainers/owners about your interest in their horse. Also, to ensure the success of your visit we advise you to call trainers/owners in advance to check on the horse's availability.


WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

As we did last year, we will track our income from all sources in 2008, so that ALL can see where we stand in raising funds needed to care for our horses. We must raise $27,750 EVERY quarter ($9,250/mo.) to fund our operations. This is our income from all sources to date in 2008:

INCOME NEEDED THRU 6/30: $55.500.00
INCOME RAISED THROUGH 5/16: $44,432.94
CURRENT SHORTFALL: $11,067.06

NOTE: Please keep in mind we need to make up for the shortfall in income during the first quarter. These funds are urgently needed to provide feed, hay, bedding, farrier, and vet care for our horses. Please go to our DONATIONS PAGE to make a contribution now. Our horses need you!
